About Forex
Forex Cargo is a pioneer in door-to-door delivery of remittance and balikbayan boxes. Forex has become a household name in every Filipino home in the US. Its revered status in the business, now on its 27th year, is the result of the concerted hard efforts of five enterprising brothers of the Carino family with Oscar (deceased) who founded Forex in 1983. It was developed by the next brother, Jaime, who is based in Virginia, USA. The second eldest, Jose, participated by managing for the Las Vegas unit but is now semi-retired. The next brother, Benjamin, maintained the company and together with their youngest brother, Teodoro founded Forex Cargo (Phil) Inc. in 1988. They both nurtured Forex in the Philippines to grow its branches reaching worldwide and robust for fifteen years. During all these years, from Oct 1988 to June 15 2003, Benjamin managed the Philippine operations. In retrospect, Teodoro may be credited with expanding the business and bringing back the integrity of the balikbayan box business in California, the largest market in the industry. Teodoro’s untimely demise in 2003 has left an indelible mark in the hearts of everyone in Forex who have been endeared to him. The beloved chairman will forever be remembered for his astute leadership and compassion second to none.
